25 years across five industries. I embed with CEOs to stand up what doesn't exist, fix what's broken, and build teams that can operate without me. Every engagement net positive, every year.
My most recent engagement:
I partner directly with CEOs to stand up financial infrastructure, install execution systems, and build teams that can operate independently. My work spans PE-backed platforms, manufacturing, multi-unit restaurants, and business services. I build from scratch when needed, fix what is broken, and scale what works.
My goal is to 2x capacity and output, then repeat.
Most recently, I led finance and operations across four business units through a combined 91% revenue increase and 41% operating income improvement while preparing the company for institutional capital. I have led financial preparation for rounds at $90M and $120M valuations, rebuilt accounting systems from 18 months of backlog, and driven operational improvements across every function I've touched.
Earlier in my career, I founded and scaled a technology company to $21 million over 13 years, navigating two major industry shifts. That experience taught me that execution breaks before strategy does, and that the gap between knowing and doing is where most companies lose.
I teach at Chapman University, where I endowed the Business Plan Competition in 2007 and have spent 18 years as a judge, mentor, and speaker. I write about execution, leadership, and the systems that make both transferable.
